Hydraulic Material Lift

       
 

Our HydroLift line of Material Lifts is the most economical design for low-rise applications such as one or two story buildings, mezzanines and loading docks. Their ease of installation allows them to be used in tight quarters like thru-floor or existing shafts or other confined locations.

HydroLifts are available with lifting heights up to 30 feet. Platform sizes up to 8’ wide x 5’ long, 5000-pound capacity with a single mast and 20’ wide x 12’ long and 20,000-pound capacity with a dual mast design. Standard operating speed is 20 feet per minute. Access openings can be on opposite, the same or adjacent sides or a combination of all three.

HydroLifts are designed to be modular in construction and pre-assembled to minimize installation time. The control cabinet and hydraulic power unit, along with the limit switches, are pre-wired to also help reduce installation time. Each lift includes an enclosure with safety gates and interlocks at each floor to prevent lift access when the platform is not present and from operating the lift if the gates are open. Swing gates are provided as standard equipment. If the Lift is to be installed in a fire rated shaft, interlocks only will be provided to interface with the customer provided doors.

The HydroLift platform is raised using heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders and roller chain and is guided with 6" minimum wide flange rails. Guide rollers are machined steel with sealed-for-life ball bearings. Material Lifts with short lift heights and lower capacities may use cylinders only which eliminate the chains and backstop safety. Material Lifts with higher capacities and car sizes may use telescopic cylinders similar to those used in the elevator industry for their durability and reliability and if higher speeds are required.

Optional Material Lifts equipment that can be provided to enhance safety or operation includes, A ramp at the lower level if a pit is not desirable, Complete Material Lifts platform enclosure and interlocked gate(s) to protect against unstable loads, Vertically rising or sliding gates in lieu of swing gates, Watertight or explosion proof controls and many others.

All required safety systems are built into each lift as required by the ASME/ANSI B20.1 code such as backstop safety, slack switches and platform railings. Each lift is designed with a minimum 5:1 service factor as required by minimum hoisting and lifting standards. Only high quality, USA sourced components are used in our Lifts.
